Queenstown and Publications

What an interesting few weeks. My main computer crashed so my work flow pretty much went to crap, I’m playing catch up now and getting back on to a lot of things. I have made the journey down to Queenstown and will be based here for a while. I have been busy shooting portraits the last few days and  I’m pretty happy with the way everything went. I will post something for you on ...read more

On the Search

Hi All, I’m still busy doing snow projects right now. It is coming to an end though. I’m in Tahoe and it’s really warming up. We have had highs of around 18 C the last few days. It does feel good to get some sun on my face, go for a shred at NorthStar and have a few beers on the deck at the end of a day. I can feel the summer rolling around the corner. It’s been warm ...read more

I’m a Travelling Man

I have been up and down the country twice now. There has been a lot of time spent in planes and cars. It went something like this Minnesota-Reno-Salt Lake City-Jackson Hole, back to Salt Lake City- Reno then off to Seattle and now I’m at Baker. What a journey! Here are a few images from the windows I have had to peer out of along the way. De icing the plane in Minnesota so we can get ...read more

Spring is in the air

I love this time of the year when the evenings are starting to get longer. The sun hitting your face feels amazing for some reason. And you know there are changes on the horizon. THe hills are starting to get greener around here, and we have just had a  big spring storm come through so it looks like there is going to be a few more backcountry shoots. This last week I had a shoot with the ...read more

Inspiring People

It can sometimes get hard keeping up with everything in this fast paced world. I sometimes feel all I’m thinking about is the next job that I need to get done. Then when I sit down and relax, I realise that you need to make time to enjoy, be creative, be inspired to do your best work, and more to the point, love your job. I’ve been sick the last few days so I have been ...read more

Crazy Busy

Hi all - it’s been a few weeks since my last post, a bit slack but we have been flat out. I have now moved house and have been on the road, up in the back country and sledding the last three days. It’s been amazing weather for spring. We got about 3ft and since then it has been sunny for days. We also have a few new arrivals and a few riders have left, so it’s good to have some ...read more

Spring Is Coming

It is starting to warm up over here.  We just started daylight saving and I can feel spring in the air. I’m starting to get excited for a bit of a change and I think we will be moving to a new base  in the next few weeks. Ryan Tiene was ripping some of the dry stuff. We have had a good week in the back country with a few days up at Sonora where it was just us and the stranded crew ...read more

Reno

It had dumped about 2ft in Reno, so we decided to pack up the gear and head to the casino for a few nights and scope some rails. We had Martin from Tall Treez Design show us around. He knew all the spots. It seemed everyone was on the same buzz as us. When we went to some of the main spots we ran into Travis Kennedy and the whole Tech9 crew as well as many others. It was a bit ridiculous really ...read more

Night Shoot and Tunnel Exploring

Exploring Stef Z and Nick Poohachoff just rolled into town for a week so we decided to give the sleds a rest and head out on foot to a few spots that Nick knows about. We had a really productive few days and got some nice stuff.  We walked through this tunnel for about an hour. It was once used by trains but is no longer in use. It was way more fun than I thought it would be with big ice ...read more

Sledding Time

We have been out in the back country sledding the last week - man it takes it out of you. Getting up early and coming home late, but it’s all worth it. You can access so much amazing terrain if you know the spots and there is usually only a few other crews shooting out there. It’s my first year doing some serious sledding and I’m starting to get the hang of it. It reminds me of ...read more
