So things are kicking off down here. We had the MadeYouLook premiere last week which was a big night, reportedly over 400 people. Bugs did a great job of the movie and I think everyone was pretty stoked on it, that’s if they remember. There has also been a few other gatherings, so lots of catching up.
On the nights that I wasn’t out socializing I spent my time working on some star time lapses. I have really been getting into film and am amazed at how far I can push the 5d m2. On top of that it is really beautiful being out there just watching the stars. It is quite relaxing and gives you time to think.
This is a clip of the Milky Way I took from the base of Remakables last week.
Coronet pumping out snow at 1am in the distance.
I have come across a few of my advertising shots around the streets in Queenstown, so I took a few iphone snaps.
Also Manual Mag just hit the shelf.I did an interview on Rob Mitchell in there as well as a few other bits and pieces. Check it out if you’re at the book shop.
I have also been getting into macro a little - quite hard dealing with such a short depth of field. Got plenty of shots I want to work on though.
We have also had a decent dump of snow down in Queenstown, and destination Queenstown provided us with a ride up the gondola. We set up a few jibes and took some scenics

Oh my god,,,,,,,,, that time lapse is so amazing. The colour in it too…… You better watch out Vaughan with all that thinking you’ll become a peacenik. I’ve been taking photo’s of shadows in relation to Winter Solstice. Not so….. beautiful, but its the shortest day.
