It was so good spending some time in my home town again. I love seeing old faces and catching up with good old friends, hear about their missions and where their lives have led them. But it was time for me to get down to Queenstown with all the snow around and to start on some new projects. I never get over how beautiful the drive down the South Island is. If I had the time I would spend a lot longer making my way down. There are so many amazing landscapes, wild life and typical NZ culture to experience along the way.
I had a few people of at my place before hitting the road. Everyone managed to find my little studio set up and after a few too many drinks about 400 stills had been snapped off.
The rough shores of Wellington
A sleepy little bay as you come in through the Marlborough Sounds
I spent a night in Wellington and had a catch up with Sammy Hannah. He has a cool old camera – I love these things.
I also love my new iphone - man things have changed. I’m a sucker for technology
Time lapse on the way down - I’m getting more and more into film, it just has so many possibilities. It’s interesting how so many creatives get in to film. I’ts a lot of fun and very challenging to put something amazing together.
You start to get excited when you see all the snow around as you head past the southern lakes.
So I’m looking forward to getting back into it, and taking it to the next level. I hope to produce some of my best work over the second half of this year.
